NAHMAnalysis - Current and Expected Rent Shortfalls and Potential Evictions in the U.S.
On Nov. 12, NAHMA published a NAHMAnalysis, Current and Expected Rent Shortfalls and Potential Evictions in the United States. As the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic continues, and with no additional federal emergency relief provided by Congress, it seems unlikely that low-income families will recover any stability before the CDC’s eviction moratorium ends on December 31, 2020. This NAHMAnlysis examines the current and expected rent shortfalls resulting from the continued buildup of unpaid rent and the potential for an eviction crisis beginning in the New Year. The NAHMAnalysis is available here.
