This webinar addresses the impact of the new DSM-V hoarding criteria on preventive hoarding and intervention efforts. The interactive didactic presentation will provide specific intervention techniques, discuss the importance of maintenance personnel collaboration with housing management, and coordinating pest control, and other professionals to support residents in recovery and removal of clutter that may cause safety issues or potential lease violation. There will be a basic overview of the Uniformed Inspection Form, and general guidelines to consider when inspecting a unit and high clutter and hoarding clues to look for when conducting a home visit to complete a work order.
