Specifically geared towards the LIHTC program, this training with Deborah Gershen Gennello will dive deep into making sense of a-typical assets.

A breakdown of the session:

  • Definition of assets

  • A review of different States “Under 5000 assets” forms and some of the more complex assets like Treasury Bills, Stocks & Bonds and Reverse Mortgages

  • Electronic accounts which most people have heard about like Venmo, Square Cash, Pay Pal, Cash Access Cards, Direct Express, Green Dot, Meta Bank and Net Spend and CHIME

  • Less common accounts like Crowd Funding like Kick Starter, Wefunder, Start Engine and Crowdfunder, finally discussing Crytpo Currency and Digital Money

  • Ideas for verifications of the A-typical Assets

About the Instructor:

Deborah M. Gershen, C.O.O. & Director of Management, The Gershen Group, LLC

As the Director of Management, Ms. Gershen is responsible for all Management functions performed by the Firm. Ms. Gershen is a licensed real estate broker in the States of New Jersey and Delaware and holds numerous certifications in the area of real estate and rental property management. Ms. Gershen has received a Certified Property Manager designation from IREM, and is the supervising C.P.M. for the Firms' Accredited Management Organization® designation.

Ms. Gershen has received certification from the Institute of Continuing Education as a Certified Housing Administrator and from the Community Associations Institute as a Certified Manager of Community Associations. She has received the title of National Assisted Housing Professional, Executive Level from the New Jersey Affordable Housing Management Association (JAHMA). Ms. Gershen has a seat on the National Center for Housing Management's National Certification Review Board. Besides her affiliations with the Institute of Real Estate Management and the National Center for Housing Management, Ms. Gershen has been involved in property management for over 40 years. Ms. Gershen is a graduate of Boston University with a BS in Broadcast/Film Production.

Fees and reasonable expenses for the course are an approved project expense. Cancellation Policy: Registration fees will be refunded less a $35 processing charge if received in writing ten (10) business days prior to the seminar. Substitutions, but no refunds, can be made after that date.
